Job Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Industrial Millwright Mechanic to fill a key role in our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics. Additionally, they will provide guidance and support to apprentices and other staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance and repair on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Document maintenance activities and manage inventory to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Assist with equipment installation and general building maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Operate forklifts, hoists, and other machinery safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Industrial Millwright in Ontario.
- High mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in machine shop equipment (drill presses, welders, grinders).
- Good communication skills and a valid G-class driver's license.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Rigging certification, specialized welding, or electrical training.
- Experience with PLCs and refrigeration systems.
Work Hours:
8-hour rotating shifts with occasional overtime and on-call availability for emergencies.
