- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Collaboration and Record Keeping
The advisor will work closely with university partners to:
- Engage in recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Provide advising during orientation sessions for new students.
- Maintain accurate records of advising interactions and student progress.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications for the Academic Advisor position include:
- A Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- At least two years of full-time advising experience in a higher education setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to foster a supportive environment for students.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience advising STEM or exploratory students.
- Background in a STEM discipline.
