Community Organizer Job Description

This role is responsible for coordinating community events, promoting community education, and building partnerships with key stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate community events and service promotions.
  • Conduct outreach and education targeting farm worker communities.
  • Build partnerships with key stakeholders, including religious, student, political, labor, business, and community organizations.
  • Collaborate with Communications staff to generate story collections and earned media coverage.
Requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice.
  • Experience with outreach and event coordination.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities.
  • Bilingual ability in English and Spanish required.
