About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer II to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our Systems Engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing medical devices that transform lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive collaborative design and development of medical devices, including mobile apps, insulin pumps, and glucose sensors.
  • Perform technical analysis, including functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trade studies.
  • Develop system concepts, capture user needs, and create use cases or user stories.
  • Develop and manage multiple levels of requirements.
  • Define, plan, and conduct formal technical design and test reviews.
  • Guide, develop, and review verification strategies, test designs, test tools, planned execution, and documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline with 2+ years of technical engineering professional experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline with 0 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience capturing architectures, system designs, or product definitions.
  • Writing technical documentation.
  • Requirements Management Tools such as DOORS or PTC Integrity.
  • Experience in technical design techniques such as use cases, functional analysis, timeline analysis, and sequence diagrams.
  • Experience in mobile app or web-based systems design, development, verification, and documentation.
  • Experience with mobile apps deployment and post-launch maintenance.
  • Experience working with communications protocol design, definition, and documentation.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical device, defense, or automotive.

Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD): $83,124.80.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
