Job Title: Health Care Customer Support/Administrative Assist

At United Counseling Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Health Care Customer Support/Administrative Assist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Health Care Customer Support/Administrative Assist will serve as the liaison between incoming callers and agency staff, providing support services to the administrative and clinical staff of the agency. This role requires excellent communication skills, office proficiency, organization skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Support: Greet clients, guests, and staff in a professional manner, answer phone calls, and route incoming calls as necessary.
  • Client and Staff Engagement: Check in clients, notify clinicians/doctors of client arrivals, and supervise the lobby and waiting room area to ensure minimal wait times.
  • Clerical: Prepare and maintain paper and electronic files, photocopy documents, sort and process mail, and complete miscellaneous projects and reports.
  • Scheduling: Cross-train for Health Care Scheduler and Health Care Receptionist roles, complete appointment reminder calls/texts, and maintain the daily attendance and building occupancy sheet.
  • Record Keeping: Verify client Medicaid authorizations, collect fees, and update client information in the electronic health record.
  • Miscellaneous: Respond to emergency situations, maintain the waiting area and beverage cart, and assist with special projects and agency events.
Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent, basic office knowledge, computer literacy, and 1 year of customer service experience. One year of administrative experience preferred.

Valid Driver's License and typing and navigating Microsoft Windows literacy required.
