Key Responsibilities:
Implement Lean Material Flow methodologies within the production site and associated storage areas.

Conduct and uphold time studies for team members specific to plant materials.

Develop and sustain standard operating procedures for plant materials personnel.

Perform Industrial Engineering assessments on cost reduction projects.

Oversee layouts for supply chain-managed areas.

Assist in Lean Assessments and facilitate Value Stream Mapping workshops.

Establish local Continuous Improvement Requests (CIRs), gap closure strategies, and project plans based on findings from Supply Chain Engineers through project management activities.

Enhance and maintain 5S and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) programs for the supporting warehouses.

Track and analyze Supply Chain KPIs for the plant and warehouse, implementing corrective measures for any indicators that do not meet established standards.

Identify, engage in, and execute cost-saving and waste reduction initiatives from an Industrial Engineering perspective.

Ensure optimal upkeep and validation of Ideal Warehouse and Replenishment processes at the headquarters level.

Collaborate with the PFEP/Containers team to ensure accuracy in part planning, compliance, and feedback.

Provide support to plant Supply Chain Engineers and third-party logistics providers as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree

Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing

OR

Master's degree

Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing

OR

A minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing

Additional Qualifications:


Eligible candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions (e.g., US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee).

Navistar does not foresee providing employment-related work sponsorship for this role.

Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience

Experience in Industrial Engineering or a similar domain

Proficiency in conducting and maintaining time studies

Familiarity with AutoCAD

Strong communication and organizational abilities

Experience in a manufacturing setting

Experience in a unionized environment

Knowledge of logistics and transportation processes is advantageous

Training in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies

Experience in project design, execution, and sustainability

Experience in conducting Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen sessions

Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)

Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Yard Management Systems (YMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
