Job Summary
Insight Global is seeking a contract Building Engineer to join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Specialist. This role will involve conducting preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, equipment, and grounds at a commercial real estate facility in the United States. The ideal candidate will have experience in reviewing assigned work orders, inspecting fire alarms and HVAC systems, and overseeing minor electrical work.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify potential issues and develop maintenance plans
- Review and respond to assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Inspect and maintain fire alarms and HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning properly
- Oversee minor electrical work and ensure that all electrical systems are safe and compliant with regulations
- Respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure that facilities maintenance is aligned with business objectives
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 2+ years of experience in building/facility engineer roles, preferably in a commercial real estate or corporate office environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Preferred Qualifications
- CFC Certification
- Electrical Certification
- Knowledge of chillers, boilers, and air handlers
- Experience with building management systems (BMS)
