Role of the Respiratory Therapy Team:
The Respiratory Therapy department collaborates with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care for patients facing acute or chronic cardiopulmonary conditions.
Our certified respiratory therapists possess expertise in both cardiac and pulmonary care, working closely with patients to enhance lung function through:
- Targeted exercises
- Specialized medications
- Utilization of oxygen therapy equipment

Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist II, your role encompasses:
- Delivering compassionate and professional respiratory therapy services to patients and their families
- Providing cardiorespiratory and associated services
- Acting as a technical resource for all aspects of respiratory care

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Valid Hawai'i State Respiratory Therapist License
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in respiratory care or a related field
