Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Port Engineer to join our team at Allen Marine Inc. The successful candidate will assist in performing regular maintenance and repairs to our fleet of tour vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engine oil changes on a fleet of four tour vessels.
  • Work safely in a fast-paced environment and be able to communicate effectively with a small team of fellow employees.
  • Assist in monitoring of maintenance inventory and communicate problems to the Port Engineer.
  • Keep dock and shop areas clean, safe, and free from hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Be flexible in prioritizing daily work activities and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must possess a current Driver's license with no recent violations.
  • Be comfortable working around diesel engines and possess experience with mechanic's tools.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, some weekends, and some holidays.
  • Must be drug free and able to work from mid-April to the end of September with little or no interruption.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Marine diesel experience.
Work Environment

The Assistant Port Engineer will work in a fast-paced environment with occasional overnight shifts and weekends.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and walking on uneven deck surfaces.
