About the Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Child Care Attendant to join our team at our Child Care Center. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children.

Salary Range: $16.43 - $24.65 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing engaging child activity programs that promote learning and development
  • Providing for the basic needs of the children, including nutrition, hygiene, and safety
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive environment that respects individual differences
  • Orienting parents and caregivers on our center's policies and procedures
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and certification
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • PREFERRED: Coursework in Early Childhood Education or completion of Child Development Associate program
  • PREFERRED: Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in a daycare, elementary school, or similar setting
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification, with specific training in CPR for infants and children
  • First aid training
  • Knowledge of basic childcare principles and infant/child development concepts
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Computer experience is a plus
