Overview:

Through the GNB Industrial Power division, we play a vital role in delivering batteries, services, and solutions for the Motive and Network Power sectors.


We are currently seeking skilled individuals to fill roles in pasting, assembly, heat sealing, and formation operations within our manufacturing teams.

Successful candidates should possess mechanical skills along with precise mathematical and measurement abilities.

It is essential to manage the output of various machines to ensure the production of quality components that meet specified standards.

You will strive to meet or exceed daily production targets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Additionally, candidates should be able to thrive in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
This position requires certification to perform specific functions in the pasting department.

Conduct first piece inspections during the initial hour of the shift at the assigned station.

Ability to understand and communicate effectively with all team members to receive training and fulfill responsibilities.

Collaborate with the line team to achieve daily production goals.

Record hourly production on the tracking board in the Pasting department.

Perform weekly preventive maintenance on machinery.

Adhere to the daily production schedule.

Be prepared to work in environments with exposure to lead (dust, fumes, and molten form) and other potential hazards.

Comply with safety and health regulations to protect yourself and your colleagues, including showering and shampooing at the end of each shift.

Learn and follow quality control specifications and procedures, maintaining accurate and timely SPC charts.

Keep a clean and organized workspace.

Conduct testing as required.

Occasionally operate a forklift to stage materials at the pasting stations and/or transport pasted plates to the ovens.

Follow Excel Lean Manufacturing Procedures.

Adhere to current Quality Systems Requirements – SQPC pack.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:
Continuous standing, lifting, bending, and twisting.

Occasionally required to work in extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid).


Must wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, respirators, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection, as outlined in the department's PPE policy.

Ability to perform heavy lifting is necessary.

Equipment Used:
Small hand tools, control panels, and data collection equipment.

Molds for heat sealing machines and other small hand tools, control panels, and data collection devices.

Education, Experience, Skills Required:
High School Graduate or GED equivalent.

Mechanical aptitude is essential.

Previous experience in manufacturing is advantageous.

Basic computer literacy is required.
