Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to the relevant parties.
  • Record and maintain accurate records of inventory, deliveries, and shipments using our inventory management software.
  • Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documents as required.
  • Ensure proper packaging and labeling of products for shipping, adhering to company standards.
  • Load and unload trucks and other delivery vehicles, using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks as needed.
  • Coordinate with carriers for shipping arrangements, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Organize warehouse inventory and ensure materials are stored properly, maintaining a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
  • Assist with inventory counts and audits, using your attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy.
  • Use inventory management software to track product locations and update records, ensuring seamless communication with the rest of the team.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • DOT training (required).
  • Proven experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role, with a strong understanding of logistics and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with shipping and inventory software (ERP systems).
  • Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks (forklift certification preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods, with a strong physical presence.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners.
  • Basic math and computer skills, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and handling of materials.
  • Working in warehouse or dock environments with possible exposure to varying temperatures.
