Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Nesco Resource is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team at a Tier-One Automotive Supplier in Warren.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Shipping and Receiving Clerk to verify and process incoming and outgoing shipments, inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of inventory, deliveries, and shipments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to the relevant parties.
  • Record and maintain accurate records of inventory, deliveries, and shipments using inventory management software.
  • Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documents as required.
  • Ensure proper packaging and labeling of products for shipping, adhering to company standards.
  • Load and unload trucks and other delivery vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Coordinate with carriers for shipping arrangements, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Organize warehouse inventory and ensure materials are stored properly, maintaining a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
  • Assist with inventory counts and audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • DOT training required.
  • Proven experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role, with a strong understanding of inventory management and shipping procedures.
  • Familiarity with shipping and inventory software (ERP systems) and ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods, with good physical stamina.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and handling of materials.
  • Working in warehouse or dock environments with possible exposure to varying temperatures.
