As a Medical Technologist (MT), you will conduct laboratory tests across various specialty departments, including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology. Your role will be crucial in providing essential data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Performing complex analyses of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and interpreting their results.
  • Managing specimen reception and organizing supplies upon arrival in the department.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving instrument issues, documenting corrective actions, and performing necessary repairs.
  • Ensuring quality control measures are executed and recorded, adhering to departmental protocols for corrective actions.
  • Demonstrating the expertise to train new staff and/or students.
  • Actively participating in phlebotomy and accession duties.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or a related field.
  • Registration as a Medical Technologist (MT) or eligibility for registration.
  • ASCP certification or equivalent is preferred.
