Position Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of all production machinery to ensure optimal operational performance. This role utilizes both electrical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all production equipment and its accessories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot various types of A/C and D/C electrical systems.
  • Repair and maintain solid-state and electronic equipment alongside mechanical systems.
  • Adhere to safe working practices and report any hazardous conditions promptly. Conduct inspections and complete all necessary documentation.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in line with industry standards.
  • Diagnose issues and determine the appropriate procedures for repairs and part replacements.
  • Dismantle, repair, and reassemble gearboxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, and other mechanical equipment as required.
  • Handle electrical motors, relays, timers, and related electrical equipment.
  • Install and repair electrical conduits, cables, piping, tubing, controls, and grounding as necessary.
  • Operate mobile lift trucks and hoisting equipment during maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory for the facility.

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred. A minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance or electrical work is required, preferably in a food or beverage processing environment.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical codes is essential. Certification in PLC programming (e.g., Allen Bradley or equivalent) is preferred.

Experience with:

  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • All types of AC and DC electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Reading and interpreting complex electrical diagrams
  • Hydraulic and compressed air systems

Familiarity with MIG/TIG/ARC welding equipment, gas and plasma cutting tools, and various power tools is also beneficial.
