Key Responsibilities:
- Assist end-users with desktop support, addressing issues, deploying approved software, and uninstalling outdated software versions.
- Oversee the setup, maintenance, and management of user computer devices and associated computing environments, including systems and applications software, hardware, and configurations.
- Conduct troubleshooting for laboratory instruments and computer system interfaces, aiding in data storage solutions.
- Perform repairs and troubleshooting for operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite products, and various third-party applications, including hardware repairs, laptop component replacements, imaging, data erasure, asset management, and thorough ticket documentation.
Essential Skills:
- Strong attention to detail, exceptional customer service, multitasking abilities, and effective ticket management/documentation skills.
- Ability to swiftly learn new technologies and products through documentation and online resources.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Deliver positive experiences for users during support interactions.
- Manage multiple projects and tickets concurrently.
- Quickly identify issues and work towards resolutions.
- Adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or technical institute degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Previous experience in IT deskside or desktop support is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office Suite (including O365), along with hardware troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience with ticketing systems is advantageous.
