Position Overview:
As a Web Accessibility Specialist at Vichara, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our digital content meets the highest accessibility standards. Your expertise will help us create inclusive web experiences for all users.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent assessments of web pages and documents (including PDFs) to evaluate compliance with established web accessibility standards, particularly WCAG 2.0 AA.
- Generate comprehensive reports detailing accessibility issues identified during audits, along with actionable remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with developers, project teams, and management to review assessment findings and clarify testing methodologies and results.
- Develop thorough accessibility documentation to assist developers in implementing best practices.
- Contribute to the formulation of an accessibility audit methodology and provide feedback on transaction and form designs.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 72 months of experience in conducting Web Accessibility Audits utilizing assistive and automated technologies, such as JAWS, WAVE from WebAIM, NVDA, ZoomText, Dragon Naturally Speaking, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Accessibility Checker.
- Proven experience in developing user interfaces, component libraries, and PDF documents.
- At least 60 months of experience in UI Accessibility testing.
- 72 months of experience adhering to Section 508 and Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines, including W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0 A and AA), Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA), User Agent Accessibility Guidelines (UAAG), and Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG).

Compensation:
C2C $45 - $50 / hour
