Key Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Clinical Operations Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and management of clinical pharmacy programs. Responsibilities include:

  • Accurate interpretation and processing of medication orders in the pharmacy system.
  • Compounding and dispensing medications with precision.
  • Ensuring compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
  • Monitoring patient medication regimens for safety and efficacy.
  • Providing clinical guidance and recommendations to healthcare professionals.
  • Maintaining the hospital formulary and promoting effective medication use.
  • Conducting drug utilization reviews and developing action plans based on findings.
  • Delivering timely medication information to healthcare staff and patients.
  • Managing and mentoring pharmacy clinical programs tailored to patient needs.
  • Analyzing and reporting on medication safety and quality initiatives.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary committees as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a clinical pharmacy role.
  • At least five years of experience in hospital pharmacy, with management experience preferred.
  • Completion of a pharmacy residency or fellowship is a plus.
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy management software.
  • Experience in specialized areas such as medication safety or pediatrics is desirable.
