About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team at KIPP SoCal Public Schools. As an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging and effective English language arts lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students
  • Develop and implement assessments to measure student progress and inform instruction
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic growth and social-emotional development
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress and involve them in their child's education
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in English language arts education
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Passing score on the California Basic Skills Test (CBEST) or basic skills equivalency
  • Valid preliminary or CLEAR teaching credential appropriate to role (Strong preference but not required)
