Job Overview

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless integration of services and support.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff using American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication strategies.
Requirements
  • Active Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Certification in the state of employment.
  • Fluency in ASL.
  • Background check and drug screening.
  • Fingerprinting.
