Job Summary

The Patient Care Associate II provides high-quality patient care and performs unit activities under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. Key responsibilities include direct patient care activities such as taking vital signs, assisting patients with daily living tasks, and coordinating equipment and supplies. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring and assistance with daily living tasks
  • Coordinate equipment and supplies, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Participate in unit activities, including patient orientation and education
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to hospital policies and procedures
Requirements
  • CPR training required
  • Phlebotomy training and experience preferred
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Six months of experience as a Nursing Assistant or completion of the NWH Patient Care Assistant Training Program
