Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation to the sick and injured through the NYC 911 system.
  • Assess patient condition and treat in accordance with NYS DOH and Regional Guidelines.
  • Complete an electronic Pre-Hospital Care Report (E-PCR) including insurance information and assignment of claim signature in accordance with NYU policies for every patient contact.
  • Comply with uniform policy and maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance.
  • Work as a team with partner and other providers on scene and at the hospital to provide highest quality care.
  • Participate in Department, hospital, and regional Quality Improvement programs.
  • Maintain ability and credentials to work in NYC 911 system.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify, you must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and completion of New York State Department of Health approved EMT Program.

Required Licenses:

State EMT Card, Valid Driver License, Weapons of Mass Destruction Certificate (WMD), Haz-Mat Awareness Certificate, CEVO or EVOC Certificate.

The salary range for the role is $28.75 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
