Pinnacle Bank is seeking a skilled Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be responsible for originating loans for resale on the secondary market, with a focus on creating new customer relationships and developing a referral network.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Originate loans for resale on the secondary market, with a focus on determining the appropriate loan program and interest rate selection.
  2. Collect and analyze financial data from borrowers to determine creditworthiness.
  3. Review loan applications to ensure proper documentation and update status reports as necessary.
  4. Responsible for making an effort to cross-sell bank products and in-house loans.
  5. Prepare and deliver early disclosures for all approved loan applications in a timely and accurate manner.
  6. Pricing of loans at appropriate rates and reviewing loan declinations with the underwriter.
  7. Follow up with customers to offer other products and assist with other job-related duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of FNMA, FHA, VA, and NIFA guidelines.
  • Knowledge of the underwriting process and secondary market, agency loan products, and guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to type with high speed and accuracy and multi-task as a team player.
  • Ability to sell mortgage and bank products and work with accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of previous mortgage loan originating experience required.
