Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop rotating and packaged equipment to meet required specifications and standards.
  • Conduct detailed mechanical design work, including 3D modeling, simulations, and design verification testing.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) on mechanical designs to ensure optimum performance and safety.
  • Design and develop hydraulic systems to optimize our manufacturing processes.
  • Work with the process design team to integrate rotating and packaged equipment into the overall manufacturing process.
  • Utilize Autodesk software to create detailed design plans and blueprints.
  • Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems.
  • Design dust collection systems and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology to ensure our manufacturing processes remain competitive.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role, specifically with rotating and packaged equipment.
  • Proficient in the use of Autodesk software for 3D modeling and design.
  • Extensive experience in process design and the design of mechanical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
  • Proven experience with hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with the design and implementation of dust collection systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well in a team and to lead and mentor junior engineers.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and advancements.
