Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Inspector I to join our team at MSCCN. As a Fire Alarm Inspector I, you will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Perform routine maintenance on fire alarm equipment, including cleaning and replacing batteries
  • Identify and report any defects or malfunctions in fire alarm systems
  • Provide technical training to less senior inspectors and trainees
  • Complete assigned inspections on time
Requirements
  • Fire alarm license 1 to 2 years documented service experience in fire alarm or fire sprinkler
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational/product manuals
  • Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Special Hazards experience
  • Fire pump experience
  • Service background
  • NICET Level II certification
  • Backflow License
  • Familiarity with sprinkler systems and extinguishers
