Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controls Lead Technician/Programmer based in Portland, OR, with a stable work history and a deep knowledge of building automation systems (BAS). This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality service and programming for HVAC systems in commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation, programming, and troubleshooting of building automation systems (BAS), particularly HVAC controls in commercial environments.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain control systems using BACnet, Tridium Niagara, and DDC controls to ensure efficient building operations.
  • Provide expert technical support and resolve complex system issues related to HVAC, plumbing, and other building mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver projects on time and ensure all control systems align with design specifications.
  • Maintain detailed control sequences, system configurations, and service reports documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience in building automation controls service, with a strong emphasis on HVAC systems in commercial buildings.
  • Proficiency in BACnet, DDC controls, ALC, Alerton, Tridium Niagara, Distech, and other building automation technologies.
  • Strong programming skills for HVAC and mechanical systems, with the ability to modify and optimize control strategies.
  • Local and stable work history demonstrating reliability and commitment to previous roles.
  • Familiarity with MS Project, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit for documentation and project coordination.
