Job Summary

YWCA NENY seeks a skilled Public Relations and Marketing Specialist to join its team. This role involves overseeing all communications and marketing for the organization, developing and executing marketing strategies, and evaluating campaign marketing performance.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field, and at least 4 years of experience in non-profit or corporate communications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Constant Contact, WordPress, and Hootsuite is required. Strong storytelling and content creation skills, with experience in social media analytics, are also essential.

This full-time exempt position offers a salary range of $55,000 - $60,000 annually. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the Chief Development Officer and fundraising team, managing social media to enhance YWCA NENY's brand, and directing public relations, employee communications, CEO communications, and crisis communications.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the YWCA NENY's mission and messaging.
  • Collaborate with the CDO and fundraising team in branding, theme creation, messaging, and final review of outgoing materials.
  • Promote events through social media, newsletters, and public relations.
  • Manage social media to enhance YWCA NENY's brand.
