Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the cash register, including opening and closing procedures, daily and weekly reports, and printing price tags as needed.
  • Provide training and guidance to new volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Engage with customers, answering questions, and providing recommendations based on their preferences and needs.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive, team-oriented environment.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of merchandise, sales, promotions, and store policies to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including straightening and arranging merchandise, maintaining shelving areas, and participating in display design.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail, preferably with volunteers.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate team members.
  • Knowledge of retail management best practices and ability to apply them in a dynamic environment.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
  • Background check required.
