Vascular Sonographer Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team at TrekRecruit LLC. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound studies, including peripheral vascular, venous reflux, and carotid imaging.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic ultrasound principles, concepts, and methodology, with the ability to tailor the scope of an exam by adding additional images as dictated by pathology. They will also have knowledge of vascular cross-sectional anatomy and pathophysiology, as well as the ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot cardiovascular equipment.
Responsibilities:- Perform peripheral vascular, venous reflux, and carotid imaging in accordance with lab protocols and standard practices.
- Assist Physician during vein center procedures.
- Review inpatient requisitions and prioritize patient list in order of severity of illness, special procedures, special requests, and equipment availability.
- Perform required quality control checks.
- Assure the procurement, storage, and routing of supplies for room operation.
- Ensure reusable instruments are maintained and disinfected as required.
- Review patient information and orders at the time of the procedure.
- Download examination images and data into PACs system; enter findings into PACs system upon completion of exam.
- Mentor and evaluate ultrasound students as required.
- Communicate technical and patient care related information according to established processes and timelines.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or certification within one year of hire date.
- Successful completion of a CAAHEP approved school of ultrasound or cardiovascular technology or equivalent experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon hire.
- High school graduate or GED equivalency is required.
- 3 years of professional cardiovascular sonography work experience.
