Budget Responsibilities: Oversee inventory products and manage the tank yard department.

Role Summary: The Tank Yard Manager is accountable for orchestrating and overseeing the operations within the tank yard. This includes evaluating current workflows and implementing enhancements to optimize efficiency. The role requires daily leadership on-site, ensuring the effective management of personnel and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing current operational processes and proposing improvements.
  • Developing plans and timelines for the harvest-tanking season, ensuring clarity of expectations among staff.
  • Supervising the quality of inbound and outbound raw materials.
  • Regularly checking fill rates and chemical levels to meet established targets.
  • Coordinating the preparation of plans and schedules for the off-season.
  • Ensuring timely restocking of supplies.
  • Organizing maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacements.
  • Communicating effectively with suppliers regarding delivery schedules.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations among all staff.
  • Assisting in the recruitment and training processes for new team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in agriculture or a related field.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining heavy machinery.
  • Demonstrated management experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Capability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime and in outdoor settings; being the primary contact for the tank yard.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred.

Professional Relationships: Collaborate with ingredient and material suppliers, equipment manufacturers, maintenance teams, receiving departments, and auditors.
