About the Role:

This position is part of the Marine & Ports Division at ABB, serving the shipping and ports industries through integrated systems and solutions that improve vessel and container terminal efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute service work as per work instructions and ABB quality and safety guidelines.
  • Deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation.
  • Showcase expertise by ensuring customer retention through effective communication of service work timeline and expectations.

Work Model: Remote #LI-Remote

Accountabilities:

  • Work with customers to identify opportunities to improve operations and eliminate pain points.
  • Perform field service tasks, identify technical issues, and analyze through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.
  • Prepare material lists for service activity and ensure availability of materials, parts, and equipment.
  • Act as trainer for field service associates and customers.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or foreign equivalent degree in engineering or technical field, with minimum 2 years of experience in marine field service. Alternatively, a special combination of education and experience, or demonstrated accomplishments. Bachelor's degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical engineering, or similar field preferred, with 5 years of experience in marine field service preferred.

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to build commitment within diverse and fragmented environments.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces, including vessels, propulsion systems, and Cofferdams.
  • Familiarity with marine/offshore work environment and procedures.
  • Knowledge of marine propulsion, power generation, and power distribution.
  • Experience with confined space entry, work environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and design technical drawings and schematics using computer design software (AutoCAD).
