Park Place Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support and repair services for our customers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to data center hardware.
Key Responsibilities- On-Site Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and minimizing downtime.
- System Diagnostic and Repair: Analyze and diagnose complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs to ensure optimal system performance.
- Inventory Management: Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels, including ordering and returning parts as needed.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete and submit accurate and timely reports, including audit forms, email replies, timesheets, and expense reports.
- Technical Expertise: Minimum 7 years of experience working with OEM data center hardware, with a solid understanding of different OEM equipment and the ability to grasp new products and concepts.
- Customer Service: Proven ability to provide excellent customer service, with a focus on meeting customer needs and expectations.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ and Server + certifications required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform other physical tasks as required.
- Certifications: Additional OEM computer hardware certifications from major vendors such as Dell, IBM, HP, etc.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e. Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
Must be able to travel to client sites up to 75% of the time within a predetermined territory radius (up to 4+ hours/one way by car).
