We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at The International School of San Francisco. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information.
Key Responsibilities:- Record, verify, and consolidate financial transactions, with a focus on Accounts Payable, to ensure compliance with school purchasing procedures.
- Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
- Support the Controller in documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of the auditing team.
- Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in creating, maintaining, and completing audit schedules.
- 2-3 years of general accounting experience, with nonprofit experience preferred.
- Experience with complex accounting systems, such as Blackbaud Nxt or Sage Intacct.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Competitive salary range: $70,000 - $85,000.
