Job Responsibilities:
Under supervision, the Environmental Health Specialist will engage in a variety of professional activities, including:

  • Conducting inspections of facilities and properties to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Preparing detailed reports and making recommendations based on findings.
  • Researching and analyzing data to support environmental health objectives.
  • Providing information to the public regarding environmental health programs and regulations.
  • Participating in enforcement actions, including report writing and court appearances as necessary.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess relevant experience in environmental health, along with a bachelor's degree in a related field. Registration as an Environmental Health Specialist in California is required for higher levels.

Skills Required:
Knowledge of environmental health science, regulations, and the ability to perform inspections and analyze data effectively.
