Core Duties:
1. Identify suitable transportation modes to meet shipment requirements.
2. Source qualified carriers for each shipment to ensure safe and timely delivery while adhering to customer and regulatory requirements.
3. Utilize carrier sourcing technology, including in-house databases and load boards, to match carriers with shipments.
4. Maintain effective communication with carriers, customers, and internal teams.
5. Price shipments competitively to ensure coverage while meeting company objectives.
6. Anticipate and resolve issues as they arise.
7. Track all booked loads from pickup to delivery to ensure accurate information is available.

Partner Carrier Interaction:
1. Continuously seek new carriers to meet operational needs and enhance performance.
2. Develop quality carriers into core partners.
3. Inform management of carrier performance strengths and weaknesses.
4. Create a monthly Carrier Scorecard to manage carrier performance effectively.
5. Oversee carrier onboarding and maintain an accurate carrier database.
6. Select appropriate carriers to maintain high on-time performance levels.

Rating:
1. Responsible for invoice reconciliation and approval for invoices exceeding general thresholds.
2. Identify invoicing errors and collaborate with carriers for corrections.
3. Assist management in maintaining customer rate schedules within the Rating Engine.

Customer Service:
1. Communicate and problem-solve with all customers in a professional manner.
2. Provide detailed responses to customer inquiries promptly.
3. Identify and implement appropriate solutions to resolve customer issues.
4. Develop strong customer relationships.
5. Recognize when service levels may not be met and take action to address issues.
6. Identify trends in recurring issues to determine if they require further attention.

Freight Management Reports:
1. Utilize various resources to compile data for operational reports.
2. Ensure timely delivery of reports as required.

Cross Coverage:
1. Assist in covering various duties in the absence of team members.
2. Help train team members on new tasks.

Claims:
1. File customer claims in accordance with regulations.

On Call Coverage:
Assist with departmental on-call coverage as directed by management.

Project Management:
Support management in project-related tasks as needed.
