Position Overview:
The Room Attendant is responsible for the thorough cleaning and upkeep of guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring, and work areas. Responsibilities include replenishing supplies, sanitizing equipment, and making beds. The role typically involves vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and performing other general cleaning tasks.


Essential Job Functions:
  • Make beds and arrange linens.
  • Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses and writing materials.
  • Clean guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
  • Clean carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaners.
  • Dust furniture and equipment.
  • Polish metal fixtures and fittings.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
  • Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies.
  • Replace light bulbs as needed.
  • Adhere to safety regulations when using cleaning chemicals.
  • Report to work for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures related to this position.
  • Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
