Responsibilities
- Provide warm and welcoming service to guests, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage room reservations, check-ins, and check-outs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
- Process payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain a high level of cash handling accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date on hotel policies, rates, and promotions, and communicate this information to guests as needed.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry and report preparation, to support the smooth operation of the front desk.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to hotel standards and ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge, and contribute to the continuous improvement of hotel operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a hotel or related field, with a focus on customer service and front desk operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in hotel software systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
