Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Foreman to join our team at Capitan Construction. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules in collaboration with senior project managers.
  • Work with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Coordinate project activities, including procurement of materials and field work.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect construction progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and RFIs.
  • Participate in project meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and document meeting minutes.
  • Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, clients, and senior management.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships and oversee their work quality and performance.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks, issues, and deviations from project plans, proposing effective solutions.
  • Support the resolution of construction-related challenges and conflicts as they arise.

Requirements:

  • Ability to manage projects and develop business processes to meet identified needs within agreed parameters of cost, time, and quality.
  • Understanding of construction safety protocols and best practices.
  • Familiarity with construction processes, methodologies, and industry regulations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills in speaking and writing, demonstrating proper grammar and clear calculation of ideas.
  • Detail-oriented mindset and commitment to maintaining accurate project documentation.
  • Thorough knowledge of all trades.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of related experience in residential construction, including scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases. Ability to manage individuals and groups, optimize performance, and provide effective feedback throughout the performance management cycle.

The salary range for this role considers a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certification, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are based on the facts and circumstances of each case.
