Global Sales Strategy Leader

The Global Sales Strategy Leader is accountable for formulating and executing the comprehensive sales strategy for the Fluid Handling & Filtration sector on a worldwide scale. This role encompasses the implementation of growth initiatives, market demand generation, and the expansion of significant segments within the Fluid Solutions division.
Key Responsibilities
This job description outlines the primary responsibilities; specific tasks may vary based on departmental needs.
Core Duties Include:
1. Actively contribute to shaping and guiding the growth strategy for fluid solutions on a global scale.
2. Sustain and expand the current customer base.
3. Recruit, develop, and lead a sales team to effectively engage prospective clients.
4. Ensure consistent communication with Regional Sales Managers and Territory Representatives regarding competitive insights, product challenges, market dynamics, and customer perceptions of Fluid Handling & Filtration offerings.
5. Maintain and update the CRM database with new contact details and conduct regular reviews to ensure data accuracy.
6. Identify and convert leads into profitable business relationships.
7. Participate in the selection, training, and evaluation of Regional Sales Managers, Sales Support Management, and Territory Sales Representatives.
8. Assess team performance and manage accordingly to optimize sales revenue and market penetration.
9. Align customer sales efforts with our business strategy, understanding customer needs by crafting compelling value propositions.
10. Drive and define the sales process, including prospecting, qualifying, and positioning fluid solutions through direct customer engagement and indirect sales channels.
11. Ensure achievement of growth objectives for pipeline development, bookings, and gross margin.
12. Continuously analyze the market landscape and competitors. Based on this analysis, refine our growth strategy, sales, and marketing approach to focus on the most promising opportunities and deliver a differentiated offering that secures a high win rate with suitable margins.
13. Lead new business generation and cross-selling initiatives to existing customers in targeted market segments as designated by the business.
14. Foster and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, agents, and distributors.
15. Address customer and prospect inquiries/leads and provide business support as necessary, including recommendations on business decisions and initial assessments of conditions and terms of sale.
16. Collaborate with technical and project teams across our global business platform as required.
17. Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
2. Over 12 years of experience in selling industrial rotating equipment.
3. Industry or application experience with industrial manufacturing markets, particularly in partnerships with small businesses and family-owned organizations, is highly desirable.
4. Proven track record in identifying business opportunities and closing deals in highly technical sales environments.
5. Strong personal motivation, goal orientation, diligence, and attention to detail.
6. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills are essential.
7. Team-oriented with strong interpersonal communication skills.
8. Self-motivated and accountable for driving results and securing business.
