Job Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our team at Strategic Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our Outage & Project Management Department, you will be responsible for assigned projects and will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a discipline engineer on assigned projects, coordinating the efforts of other discipline engineers on the project team.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of standards and processes related to design of engineered systems within the electrical discipline.
  • Work closely with the Energy Supply staff to provide technical feasibility and engineering studies as they relate to the Energy Supply area.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely completion of projects and meet project deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or equivalent.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of design engineering and project engineering experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, good planning skills, and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and possess leadership qualities.
  • Knowledge of basic plant processes and chemical reactions, as well as a working knowledge of engineering design for electrical distribution systems typical for industrial and process plants.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida.
  • Knowledge of the power distribution of a power generation facility, including ranging from 120V distribution panels to generator step up transformers.
  • Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, Florida Building Codes and Standards.
