Job SummaryThe ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our Translational Science Team as a Protocol Associate. This is a hybrid position that requires working in our Boston office and remote work. The successful candidate will assist with the management of laboratory projects and protocols, including data coordination and communications among stakeholders for on-going and proposed research studies.Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the development of specimen-related inventories, troubleshoot issues, and assist in resolving problems in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate teleconferences dedicated to active projects for lab activities.
  • Provide informatics support for biospecimen banking and data harmonization.
  • Assist in the maintenance of electronic databases related to lab projects (Sample Tracking System) on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist with delinquency monitoring pertaining to specimen submissions for both active trials and retrospective studies on archived tissue, including interacting directly with sites to coordinate the submission of delinquent or additional specimens.
  • Support the ECOG-ACRIN Navigator concierge to liaison with tissue banks and biostatisticians to respond to queries from the NCI Navigator and Front Door system.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, protocol development meetings, disease-specific committee meetings, and other meetings as necessary.
  • Participate in conference calls as required.
  • Review team documentation and SOPs as needed.
  • Assume responsibility for multiple special projects, as assigned.
Requirements
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in an oncology clinical research setting.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency with MS Office and other related systems applications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) a plus.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a life science discipline and/or life experience. Master's degree is preferred.
