Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal representation in cases involving protective orders, divorce, and child custody.
  • Support clients navigating the criminal justice system as victim-witnesses.
  • Formulate case strategies through diligent legal research and investigative work.
  • Prepare legal documents including complaints, responses, and legal memoranda.
  • Engage in community outreach and contribute to professional development training.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation within the LegalServer platform.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law institution.
  • 1-3 years of relevant legal experience, including internships or fellowships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Strong research, writing, and leadership capabilities.
  • Able to collaborate effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated dedication to social justice and advocacy for marginalized populations.
