Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team at Jabil. As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing Quality Assurance activities for your assigned Value Stream on your shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Quality Inspectors in product release activities, using product expertise to make informed decisions regarding product quality.
  • Conduct Batch History Record (BHR) review on a shift-to-shift basis, ensuring the BHR is ready to be handed off to the next shift, and create the Certificate of Conformance (C of C) and perform the first level of BHR Review to complete the batch if it ends on your assigned shift.
  • Investigate Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR) and Customer Complaints (CC), providing results to the Senior Quality Lead and Quality Engineer, and complete Incoming Inspections in accordance with approved Inspection Plans (IIPs).
  • Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and coach and support all employees' adherence.
  • Help ensure documentation practices comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements, eliminating sticky notes and other uncontrolled documents in the wing, and audit documentation for errors.
  • Learn and apply 5S, Lean, Visual Factory, and other Operational Excellence principles as they pertain to Quality Control.
Requirements
  • Provide guidance to Quality Control inspectors and coach them to make more effective product quality decisions.
  • Understand and help drive appropriate work priorities for Quality Assurance that accurately reflect product release needs as determined by customer service and production planning.
  • Instill a culture of continuous improvement and help ensure an appropriate sense of urgency in all aspects of Quality Control, including the effectiveness and efficiency of Quality Plans.
  • Keep Senior Quality Leads updated on Quality Control issues and status, presenting BHR to the appropriate Senior Quality Lead for final review and product release when completed.
  • Communicate with Operations and Material Handling personnel to support production priorities, including changeovers and start-ups.
