The Department of State Hospitals is seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Therapist to join our team. As a Rehabilitation Therapist, you will work under the administrative supervision of the Program Assistant and under the general lead and clinical direction of the Chief, Rehabilitation Therapy Service.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for patients with mental, physical, developmental, and/or geriatric disabilities.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy services, including art therapy, to patients in a secure treatment area.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and treatment.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
- Master's Degree in Art Therapy or in Art with an emphasis in Art Therapy.
- Registration with the American Art Therapy Association or eligibility for such registration.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
The position requires working in a secure treatment area with patients who have mental health conditions. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
