Electrical Systems Design Lead

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead our design and coordination efforts for utility distribution projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience designing smart grid automation systems and integrating smart devices.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Create distribution voltage packages for overhead and underground projects, including equipment installation and feeder replacement.
- Design new business projects, such as line extensions and service installations, using CAD software.
- Collaborate with the Right of Way Department to obtain customer easements.
- Work with the Permitting Department to secure local permits.
- Track project progress and coordinate field work.
- Create project scopes and materials using SAP or Maximo.
- Coordinate closeout and ensure compliance with NESC standards and utility guidelines.
- Lead QA/QC efforts and ensure quality deliverables.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
- Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in the energy/utilities sector.
- Experience with power system analysis using CYME or ETAP is highly valued.
- Mastery of load flow and fault studies is a plus.
