Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks along the value stream production process.
  • Optimize the flow of work among the team and utilize lean principles/tools to identify areas for improvement.
  • Control and monitor the flow and usage of materials along the production process.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly KPIs production reports for assigned shift.
  • Monitor KPIs and take corrective actions and preventive measures in a timely manner to comply with production schedule.
  • Manage Redzone KPIs and ensure reliable and accurate data in the system.
  • Ensure all lines are properly staffed to meet demand within labor budget.
  • Ensure timely coordination of activities and communication with QA, HR, Maintenance support, and Material handlers.
  • Complete and approve weekly employee timecards, managing PTO, sick days, etc.
  • Hand off a running line to the next shift and ensure the line is left ready for use at the end of the shift.
  • Ensure Production Batch Records are correctly filled out.
  • Ensure proper line set ups/changeovers to maximize line availability for production.
  • Hire, supervise, and provide professional/technical development and training for all production personnel.
  • Monitor team performance and perform regular personnel performance evaluations/reviews/disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain a culture that inspires great morale and a safe, inclusive, productive environment.
  • Understand and oversee all food safety requirements, including GMPs, relevant SOPs, and employee handbook.
  • Comply with company SOPs, GMPs, and SQF requirements.
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree, but experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a production leadership role necessary.
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
  • Prior experience working for a GMP/FDA regulated facility.
  • Experience in a food production environment.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
  • Knowledge of RedZone a plus.
