Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and periodic evaluation of a quality control program to ensure production operations meet organizational standards. This role will direct and oversee the quality control department and supervisory staff, conducting performance evaluations and handling discipline and termination in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate production operations to ensure products meet quality, integrity, and functionality specifications.
  • Collaborate with management and senior staff to draft acceptable quality standards.
  • Develop and implement quality standard testing and evaluation processes.
  • Facilitate communication among production divisions and management.
  • Assess test results and approve recommended changes.
  • Review quality control documentation for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Conduct random inspections and quality control checks.
  • Report status of quality control and operations to executive leadership and regulatory agencies.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing and production in the industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Eight to 10 years of related experience required, with at least five years as a quality engineer or similar role highly preferred.
