Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures, utilizing ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis, and providing patient care and education.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist will work under the general direction of the department leader and the clinical direction of the Radiologist. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiographic procedures, patient positioning, and radiation safety principles. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiographic procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and fluoroscopy
  • Utilize ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis, adhering to established guidelines and protocols
  • Provide patient care and education, including explaining procedures and safety protocols
  • Operate radiographic equipment, including CR and digital capture systems
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and technique selection to ensure radiograph technical quality standards
  • Contribute to meeting departmental goals, including retake analysis and radiation safety
Requirements:
  • Completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry eligible with successful completion of the registry within three months of hire
  • Current and valid Massachusetts license to perform radiography
  • One year of experience preferred
