Medical Assistant

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant/Clinical Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care by carrying out medical and administrative tasks in accordance with your scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities- Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, and record vital signs.
- Coordinate and provide patient support services, including scheduling appointments and answering telephones.
- Review patient records, ensuring they are complete with regard to previously ordered studies.
- Assure that examining rooms are properly equipped with supplies and equipment is in working order.
- Call for pre-certifications and work with patient account representatives to facilitate referrals.
- Practice within the scope of practice for medical/clinic assistants.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification through a recognized regulatory body, such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or EMT-B certification required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- One year of work experience in a clinic setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, supplies, equipment, and services ordering and inventory control.
- Prior experience or knowledge of examinations, diagnostics, and treatment room procedures.
