Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Kadlec Regional Medical Center. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor, or Lead Security Officer
  • Perform a variety of security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property, and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed
  • Conduct regular security checks and patrols of the facility
  • Monitor and report any security incidents or concerns
Requirements
  • Coursework/Training and Security Academy, Department Field Training Officer Program, AVADE Levels I, II, & III, OC/Pepper Spray, Baton, CEW/Taser, Handcuffing, CPR/AED, and Basic Healthcare Security Training within 90 days of hire
  • Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, History, or English
  • 1 year of Law Enforcement/Security/Military/Corrections experience or two years of work experience in a healthcare setting, or related college coursework deemed relevant to position
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting
